A popular medical doctor in doctor in Kingston Jamaica had to resort to sending one of his patients to a 'mother woman' on Wednesday when she turned up at his office possessed by a spirit. The doctor told THE WEEKEND STAR that the 19-year-old patient was taken to his office by her family who were terribly concerned by her condition. "When she came to my office she was talking in two voices. She was talking to someone and someone was talking to her as well in a different voice," he said. The medical source said he hypnotised the girl and after much prompting was able to talk to the spirit. "He told me that his name was Calvin," the doctor said, adding when he asked the spirit why he had entered the teen, it said: "She was in despair and her mind was open so he entered her." The teen, the doctor said, apparently had gone to a government building in the day where she was possessed by the spirit. "She said that she saw a shadow when she was there and the shadow just walked up to her and walked into her," he said. After more than an hour of trying to calm the teen, administering an injection and talking to the spirit, the doctor said he decided he was not the best person to handle the situation. "This is a girl that has been well all her life and has no mental illness. I decided that the best option was to send her to a mother woman," he said. Attempts by THE WEEKEND STAR in Jamaica to speak to the mother woman were unsuccessful as she was not willing to do so until after the teen's healing process is complete. The teen is expected to return to the 'mother woman' today as her treatment was not completed on Wednesday. Winsome, one woman who was at the church where the mother was when the teen was taken there, was, however, able to relate what she witnessed. "I was at church and a man came in with a young girl. They went up to the rostrum and the bishop told them to go back through the door and to go around a basin with water," she said. She said that they did it and came back in. "The teen was behaving boisterous. She was talking loud and cursing bad words and was fighting." The teen is said to have been sprinkled with water and olive oil and a paste-like substance given to her. "They prayed for her and after sometime she kind of calmed down. When I left there she was still there," Winsome said. She was not able to say if the spirit was cast from the teen after she left. |
