If it was left up to Dr Love and R.A. Hamilton then young artistes from the St Andrew community of August Town and surrounding areas 'Muss Buss'. In reality, such a development is surely not in their hands only, but the two men have put their minds together and are now set to release a 12-track album titled just that, Muss Buss. During an interview with THE WEEKEND STAR earlier this week, the two not-so-young men spoke with much emotions of their long-time dreams to expose aspiring talent from these communities, and the subsequent vision for an album which they say is the ideal way of making a breakthrough. exposing the young talents "It has always been in my plans to help out my community by trying to expose the young talents that are here. Trust me there are some very talented young artistes around here and we put some of them on this album,"said Hamilton who is a producer, songwriter and singer. His partner on the effort, Dr Love, real name Carl Fraser, added, "Yes it's pretty much a dream to help these young and very talented artistes. When you listen to the album you will see what we're talking about." The album which will be released on the Forever Crystal label within the next six weeks, will feature young acts like Liquid Sunshine and Ava-D with Perfect Night, Raymond Scarface with Life or Life and Sam Buttercup with Tippi Toe. Hamilton who has worked with artistes such as Sizzla, who is also from August Town, also features his vocals on the album with a track titled Sad Mood. Asked what will make this album different from others, Dr Love pointed to a combination of creative writing and artiste's vocals which he thinks has the ability to impress whoever lends the album a listening ear. "I predict Life or Life will be a theme song for the inner-city. It has some very powerful words," a very confident sounding Dr Love told THE WEEKEND STAR. As far as feedback on the album, Dr Love and Hamilton say they have been receiving strong words of encouragement from seasoned personalities within the music industry who say they love the idea of the album. An upcoming singer from August Town, 17-year-old Shenelle, though not on this project, said like other residents, she adores what the two are trying to do for the community and sees them as her chance to be heard. "I love that they are helping the young people and trying to get us out there. I take this as my opportunity to do what I always wanted but couldn't get a real chance," she said. Proceeds from the album will go toward community-building initiatives, THE WEEKEND STAR was also told.
