Rising Stars 'High Five' profile

As the Digicel Rising Stars competition winds down, THE STAR gets to know the top five a little bit better in 'High Five'

What inspires you?

Jermaine: Family; my mother, father, sisters and brothers. Some of dem live in Annotto Bay, St Mary, and the others in Norbrook, Kingston.

What has been your most memorable moment during the competition?

Jermaine: Di gospel night, cause that was a different moment. I'm a Godly person deep down and I could feel the song, mi feel it differently.

Who is your favourite male and female local artiste?

Jermaine: Bounty Killer and Aidonia. For females now, Tanya Stephens and Queen Ifrica, lyrically dem have it, dem outstanding.

If you win, what's the first thing you are going to do to celebrate?

Jermaine: My birthday would be on the 17th of October, so I would plan a big party to celebrate. From there, I would elevate myself to the fullest and work on my career.

Jermaine Michael will be one of the top five performing at THE STAR's 'Stars on the Rise' concert, scheduled for Saturday September 4 at the Gleaner Company, 7 North Street, Kingston.

The concert will feature the top five Digicel Rising Stars contestants along with some of the past contestants. There will also be special guest artistes such as I Octane, Khago and Wasp. Music will be provided by Coppershot, DJ Liquid and Boom Boom. Emcee will be Kool 97's Jody-Ann Gray. To be admitted, bring a copy of all THE STAR newspapers from August 30 - September 3.
