In a single word from the Jamaican vernacular, Rum-Bar Rum Marco Polo - The Wild, Wild Wet 'Shot'! The water-party took over the Lime Golf Academy on Sunday, and transformed it into a Water world. Getting into the venue, however, was not an easy task. The massive crowd that converged at the entrance gate, minutes to 6 p.m. had a line that stretched across the length of Putt 'n' Play, opposite Emancipation Park. The eager patrons faces wore frantic expressions as they clamoured to get in, some had tickets in hand, others had cash. It was minutes after 8 p.m. before the crowd was completely squeezed into the venue - by this time the party was already in full swing. ZJ Chrome was at the turntables reeling out hits like Sheba featuring Kartel Warm Up, Liquid's Party Hard and Gaza Slim One Man along with others. The patrons were pleased as they drank, gave forwards, got wet and frolicked under the stars - the rain being long gone. The vast majority of the female patrons were drenched as their swimwear gripped every curve, some had swimwear covered with mesh body suits. Their male counterparts were clad for a day at the beach, while a T-shirt and Jeans sufficed for others. The Lawless Events and Datmad.com collaborated effort had a venue set-up that was conducive to the water party; This allowed patrons to party with water in style. Upon entering the venue, on the left, were the Wheelie machines - that had a stationary motorcycle on a platform that patrons could rev and wheely all night, along with a foam pit, a monstrous water slide and a four-legged metal structure that squirted water from hoses that ran along its supporting beams. To the right, were tents that provided either cotton candy, popcorn, pan chicken and the likes to patrons, along with a large bar that was a couple metres long. In the middle, was soft earth that held coconut and palms trees. Where the trees ended, a circular blown-up plastic pool with a mechanical bull started. In front of this, the DJ booth and VIP section rose a couple metres in the air, and that was probably the only place you would be safe from getting soaked. Under the dark skies, in a lit section of the venue, were celebrity figures, who came out to show their support. Among them were Aidonia and the J.O.P., Leftside, Kevin from Voicemail, Nickiesha Barnes, and others.
