Me back, me back, me back woi! (part 2)

Yendi and Asafa - File

Jackass sey de worl' no level. Jackass sey im affi chat bout Safa an im back again, afta Yendi almos' win Miss Universe an' Nesta Carta run 9.78.

I har ave to draw far my Bunti Killa vice far dis one, cause I har crass, hangry and very meesarable at Hasafa. Yute, is what you dealing wid? Yute, yu know say I rate you an, if I neva rate you, I woulda neva even badda state dis to you, so no badda take dis as say a dis I are a dis you, is straighten I are a straighten you hout like wen cyar lick an hout fe sell back. Yute! Learn dis! You is a hatlete, not a hatletic supporta!

Yeah, man, Jackass knows that it is important for a man to support his girl but, Asafa Powell (who Jackass rate as the real man for years, even when people cuss him out for 'tying up' and 'easing up' and panicking), had better take a long, hard look at himself and what is going on. A couple weeks ago, in part one, Jackass publicly made the connection that many a two-footer have been thinking about, the back issues that cut our two top male sprinters' seasons short and their off-the-track activities (ahem).

It was funny then but, Jah know, it is not very funny now, not with Yendi, Asafa's girl, coming second in the Miss Universe contest and Nesta Carter running 9.78 to tie the world leading 100-metre time this year. And where was Asafa in all of this? Backa Yendi, being an athletic supporter in lieu of being an athlete.

Yeah, man must support him girl, yes, but, Asafa, me a beg yu. Me a plead wid yu. Me a entreaty, me a grovel, cause me no waan see yu go dung like a don afta State of Emergency drop. Do not take it too far and forget to take care of your back and the track, in that order. Look at what is happening. Nesta Carter is clocking winched times. Yohann Blake is working up speed like a runaway freight train. Mario Forsythe has dipped well under the 10 second mark. Frater is still in the mix. Dexter Lee is gunning for the big league and Bolt does not plan to lose again, Jackass is sure.

Asafa, if you muck around, you might not make Jamaica's team to the World Championships next year, or the Olympics the year after. I know some of you two-footers may be saying that Jackass is overreacting, but this is a serious wake-up call.

Asfa, if you look up pretty in the dictionary, you will see Yendi beside it. She is smart, she is talented, she appears to be in possession of the sweetest personality. Jackass cannot imagine the times you must run to get to her. But, lawd Gad, man, ease offa de falla backa an focus pon de track! If a neva fe de track, you probably would never come to her attention (Truth be told, Jackass has heard that you come to a lot of women's attention, even when you are not at attention. Heh heh!), and while Jackass is not saying that she is with you because of track, it certainly never hurts.

So, I beg of thee, my favourite athlete in any sport since Evander Holyfield whupped Mike Tyson, jus' back off a little and assess your situation. Please?

Jackass sey de worl' no level. Jackass sey Asafa a 27 an de next Olympics a good as all im las, so im haffi come good!
