Second suspect taken in Global Bank heist |

As investigations intensify into the multi-million dollar heist uncovered in March 2010 at First Global Bank, a second suspect has been taken into custody by the Organised Crime Investigations Division (OCID). His identity is being withheld pending further investigations. picked up Shortly after midday, a team from the OCID went to the branch of a popular bank at the south tower located at Oxford Road where the suspect works. He was taken to the OCID office where he will be interviewed in the presence of his attorney. In March, Rohan Rose, a 37-year-old vice-president of First Global Treasury was taken into custody when the US$19 million (J$1.6 billion) fraud was uncovered. Rose was brought before the Half-Way Tree Resident Magistrate's Court on March 26, where he was granted bail in the sum J$6 million and scheduled to return on Tuesday July 27. |
