A policeman from the Motorised Patrol Division and his 33-year-old common-law wife received knife injuries during a fight with each other at Lebanon Housing Scheme, Islington, St Mary, on Wednesday night. Reports are that about 6:30 p.m., the couple was at home when a dispute developed. During the fracas, knives were used to inflict several wounds on each other. They were taken to hospital where the policeman underwent surgery and has since been admitted in stable condition. The female was treated and has been taken into police custody for questioning. Detectives from the Port Maria police, who are investigating, say the service vehicle that was driven by the cop was extensively damaged by the female in the incident. |
