Orange thief faces court |

A St Catherine man who was caught on a bus with two bags of oranges he could not properly account for, admitted that he stole them when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. He is David Connelly, a 39-year-old unemployed resident of Bog Walk. "Your honour, a tief mi tief them from a citrus place name Tru-Juice near weh mi live miss," Connelly told the court. The accused kept staring out of space while in the dock and was almost whispering to the court. Upon seen his behaviour, Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green ordered that he undergo psychiatric evaluation and return to court on August 10. The court also ordered that the investigator get in touch with the company, to change the charge from unlawful possession to praedial larceny. |
