Festival Queen coronation set for Ranny Williams

The thirteen finalists in the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen competition 2010 pay close attention during a recent tour of the Institute of Jamaica in downtown, Kingston.

Under the theme "Jamaican Women Shaping Our Culture", the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), organisers of the TVJ Miss Jamaica Festival Queen competition will host 2010 grand coronation show tomorrow at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

The thirteen parish queens will compete for the coveted title of Miss Jamaica Festival Queen 2010 along with cash and prizes valued at over $1.5 million.

Among the highlights promised for the pageant is a high-powered entertainment package including Ana and Samantha Strachan, Camille Davis, Aisha Davis, Wolmer's Dance Troupe, Spanish Town Dance Troupe and Trio Bello.

The public will have up to 6:00 pm this evening to select their favourite contestant via CLARO number 444-3272, with the contestant receiving the most votes winning the Popular Vote prize.

Tickets for the event are available at Music Mart, Best Regards and at the JCDC Head Office located at 3-5 Phoenix Avenue in Kingston. Admission for adults is $1000 pre-sold, $1200 at the gate with a special reserved ticket available for $1400, Children $400. Showtime is 8:00 p.m.
