NO matter how fast LIFEISJUSFORLIVING goes at exercise for tomorrow's St Leger, MARK MY WORD has the Triple Crown in the bag.

In four meetings, MARK MY WORD leads 2-1, losing a six-furlong non-winner-of-two event to LIFEISJUSFORLIVING before turning the table in the two that mattered, the 2000 Guineas and Jamaica Derby.

Tomorrow's St Leger should be a mere formality for Richard Azan's runner, who stalked and beat Wayne DaCosta's speedster in their two classic meetings.

MARK MY WORD won the June 19 Jamaica Derby at 12 furlongs in as much the same manner he did the April 5 Guineas at a mile, pouncing on LIFEISFORLIVING off the turn, taking the shortest route home, the rail, before sprinting away in the stretch run.

The St Leger is two furlongs shorter than the Derby but MARK MY WORD's versatility should cancel any plans DaCosta might have hatched with jockey Omar Walker to slip their nemesis.

LIFEISJUSFORLIVING has been catching birds at exercise, posting 1:12.3 for a flat six-furlong gallop last Sunday morning whereas MARK MY WORD breezed the same trip in 1:14.0.

Under normal circumstances, pundits would be going heads over heels for a quicker time at exercise, but having seen the ease with which MARK MY WORD stalked LIFEISJUSFORLIVING in the Guineas and Derby, it would be like tossing cash into a fire to go against Azan's runner.
