STAR of the Month Tanya Stephens is an artiste who is known to have very strong views, which she shares in her lyrics.

Some of the issues she sings about include politics, rape, HIV/ AIDS, and the relationship among people. Stephens says she draws inspiration for these songs from what she sees happening around her.

"Everything that goes on in life inspires me. I always like to admire humans. I can never run out of material with humans," she told THE STAR.

"Just everything that I feel passionate about I tackle. Everything is my personal view. Some of it is my experience and some of it is other persons around me experiences that I share. All of it is personal."<
