Dear Pastor, A word of advice to the 19-year-old young woman attending college who called on your radio programme about her boyfriend - my dear, find out from the young man in what way you are disturbing/distracting him and what is the best time for you both to have your time on the phone or face-to-face. It is evident that a man who calls once a week or rarely visits has his interests elsewhere. And how can one phone call once a day disturb him. That is total nonsense. The fact is, his interest is gone so you should not push it. My advice is to focus on your studies and be successful and keep your head up. You are young and the world is not running away. It will always be here, as my mom told me years ago. Young woman, continue to listen to 'Dear Pastor' and you will have a better understanding towards life. Take care. N.M., Jamaica Dear N.M., I agree with you. If a man has his girlfriend and he loves her, he wouldn't consider one or two calls from her per day as a disturbance. This woman should accept his insult as an indication that he is not interested in her and he wants to end the relationship. Pastor |
