League leaders St Georges will not be rolling out the red carpet when third-placed Harbour View visit their Lynch Park fortress in their mouth-watering Digicel Premier League showdown later today.

St Georges (26), one point ahead of their visitors having played one game more, are unbeaten at home, winning all but two of their six home games so far and drawing the others. To make matters worse for the visitors, St Georges have only conceded one goal on their home soil and three in all games; discounting the two suffered in their End-of-First-Round final loss to Tivoli Gardens.

a spirited mood

Harbour View, in the meantime, are in a spirited mood following their hard-fought 1-0 victory over long-time foes Boys' Town in their last match on the weekend. Marcelino Blackburn found the winner in the 85th minute and will be hunting his sixth goal of the season when the two teams clash.

At the UWI Bowl, defending champions and second placed Tivoli Gardens are expected to get back to winning ways when they travel across town to face relegation candidate August Town.

Coach Lenworth Hyde Sr was not too pleased following his team's 1-1 tie with Waterhouse in their last game and he will be demanding maximum points against the troubled August Town outfit that have occupied the cellar position since the start of the season.

Waterhouse continue to improve following their sluggish start and are expected to continue this upward trend when they host the free-falling Village United which has not won a game in their last four encounters.

in desperate need of points

Humble Lions are in desperate need of points as their eight points after 12 games look currently only good enough for free passage straight back into the lower leagues. However, things will not get any easier for the Clarendon-based team as they face a difficult trip to Ferdie Neita Park where they will face an unconvincing Portmore United team, which has looked like a mid-table team all season and are fully deserving of their sixth place position at this stage.

In the day's other game Boys' Town, still smarting from their defeat at the hands of Harbour View, will face a tricky tie at home to the dangerous Rivoli team as they look to make an immediate return to their winning ways.

Prior to that loss, Boys Town had gone five games without a loss and coach Andrew Price will be hoping that his charges will be able to immediately add to their 20 points that see them occupying the fourth position slot.
