Dear Pastor,

I am a 57-year-old woman who has children but they are all turning into young adults and some are already on their own. I am searching for a pen pal from the United States, England or Canada. I do not want a Jamaican. Let me tell you why. Once I wrote a radio station requesting the same thing as I am now doing and I stated specifically that they should not give my number over the air, but they did it anyway. I got many calls. One person called me at least 17 times. When I got back to the person and we spoke, we decided to meet.

He told me that he lived in Red Hills with his daughter and grand-child. He even went on to say that he has a wholesale and he rented out his house. I went to Kingston to meet him and I told him that I would be at my brother's place. Now hear this: when I arrived in Kingston, I called him. He said that he had to work so I stayed at my brother's house for three days and up until this very day, I am still waiting.

I later found out that his 'daughter' is his girlfriend and his 'grandchild' is his child. Gracious me! So, I have washed my hands clean of Jamaican men. I absolutely do not want a pen pal here in Jamaica. If there are men outside of Jamaica and also who are not Jamaicans and they are interested, please contact the pastor and he will contact me.

I would like someone who is honest, kind and loving. I want someone intelligent and someone who loves children. He should also love church. I do not want a womaniser or a drug user. I am a Christian and I am currently working. I would also love someone who likes to travel and exchange gifts. I am looking for a man between the ages of 59-70 years of age. I just need someone to talk to, but may be we can grow to love each other. One can never tell.
