Colo Colo faces court on ganja charge

Colo Colo - File

Popular dance figure Wayne 'Colo Colo' Stewart yesterday appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court facing ganja charges.

Allegations against the accused dancer are that earlier this week, the police observed him smoking ganja and apprehended him. He was later charged with smoking ganja.

In his defence, however, Stewart told the court he was not smoking, nor did he have any drug in his possession. He said the lawmen came on the scene and saw a "spliff tail" on the ground. He said the police then pinned the charge on him.

Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey ruled that the matter return to court on October 30. The Rum Ram man was asked to leave his fingerprints with the police.
