How did you get started in the business?

"I got started at Heavy Beat Records in the late 1990s with a producer by the name of Willy Lindo, where I did my first album Where There's Love and my first hit single Just Call My Name.

What has been your greatest challenge in the business yet?

"My greatest challenge in the music business is dealing with the unfair people in the music business. Otherwise, the music is everything to me. I love it."

What have you been up to lately?

"Lately I've been doing shows overseas and here in Jamaica. Just got back from New York, Irie Jamboree and 'Rock With Squeeze', where the fans could not get enough of my music. Just dropped three new singles - Only The Father, produced by John John; Woman 24/7 and Foolish Heart, produced by Zee Squad Records. I'll be shooting new videos and promoting two shows that I'm a part of - Cruz In The Hills on December 19 in St Elizabeth, Junction Square Pine Plaza; and River Splash in Glengoffe, St Catherine, on December 26, which is an annual charity event."

Do you look up to any specific artiste?

"I look up to my uncle, Garnet Silk, and Bob Marley, because they are both positive and great artistes."

Are you happy with the way things are going for your career right now?

"Yes, I am very happy with how my career is going, since the day I started and still happy now. The hits keep coming so I keep singing them for my fans, especially the ladies, I always put them first."

What do you see yourself accomplishing in the future?

"I see myself as one of Jamaica's top singers of all time."

Do you have any advice for young artistes coming up?

"My advise to all upcoming artistes is always put the Almighty creator first, try an get to know about the business you're getting in, keep it positive and go for your goal."
