Jamaican ace shooter Romelda Aiken shot at a game-high 94 per cent accuracy but New Zealand's Silver Ferns produced a scorching final-quarter effort for a 46-41 victory over the World 7 on Saturday night.

The Silver Ferns outscored the World unit 13-6 in a superb run in the last frame to emerge victorious from a fluctuating fixture at The Trusts Stadium Arena that ended the three-match series.

The World 7, winners of the first two games, claimed series honours 2-1. Aiken entered the match at half-time as replacement for Samoa's Cathrine Latu, who played in the shooting position for the first two quarters.

Led by their international star Irene van Dyk, who scored a superb nine from nine in the opening quarter, New Zealand were ahead 14-11 at the first break.

The World 7, who won the earlier games 48-44 and 53-44 earlier in the week, rallied well to lead 24-22 at half-time and kept their two-goal advantage to lead 35-33 at the end of the third quarter although the Silver Ferns had locked the scores at 32-32 deep in the quarter.

Aiken shot 10 from 11 in the third-quarter and 5/5 in the last frame but New Zealand were tight in defence in the closing stages and van Dyk's 10/11 run in the last quarter propelled the home side to victory.

Van Dyk finished with a game-high 29 goals from 33 attempts to lead the Silver Ferns' scoring.

The other Jamaican on the World 7 watched the entire game from the bench.
