Prominent businessman murdered
Dalton Laing, Star Writer

Prominent Westmoreland businessman Stanley Davidson, 68, was gunned down at his home in Little London yesterday.

The board-house manufacturer was at his home around 7 a.m. when he was attacked by armed men demanding money. They relieved him of $22,000 before shooting him. Davidson died before help could get to him.

Scores of family members, friends and employees are now unable to come to grips with the act, which they say has taken away one of the most positive members of their town.

Teisha Senior, a friend of Davidson who spoke to him on Wednesday and was in the process of getting a black tank on credit, was overwhelmed upon hearing the news of his death. "When me hear say English dead mi piss up and mi couldn't move. Him help everybody. He was a good man. Mi cyaah believe seh dem kill him."
