Fresh from a one-month tour of Japan, popular dancer Docta Bird is still excited and is more determined to take his name to the top.

Recently, the 24-year-old dancer, born David Lemmie, visited the Far East where he successfully completed a six-city club tour.

"Di experience alone mek mi waa go back. Mi dance 'til mi nearly dead," an elated Docta Bird told THE WEEKEND STAR.

According to Docta Bird, the tour made it clearer to him how important hard work is.

"Trust me, di Japanese dem show me seh hard work very important 'cause is like most a dem jus' work and sleep," he said.

However, his 'Gangalee' dance brought him another wave of recognition, and being granted an American visa late last year, gave him the opportunity to promote his name overseas and soar to new heights.

Now the talented dancer says he will be looking to promote his brand new move, 'Decorate di floor'.

Asked about the idea for the dance, Docta Bird said: "Da idea deh come from di struggle; from an infant to an' orphan to foreign quite often. Mi foot dem a gold, dat's why mi decorate di floor."
