Organisers of the Hollywood Premier which started four years ago at the La Roose Entertainment Complex in Portmore has said the 2009 edition would be bigger and better at Curphey Place. ''We decided to take the very best that Jamaica has to offer in the music to represent the fourth staging of the event, as last year the passage of Tropical Storm Gustav put a damper on the proceedings,'' said spokesman for Hollywood Premier, Everal Cranstan, aka Bobo El Numero Uno. formal dress affair The show, he said, is a formal dress affair designed to reflect the true Hollywood style and has proven to be a hit with patrons who got a first-hand experience at the staging in Portmore. Hollywood Premier will be at the Swallowfield location in St Andrew on July 25 and is a red-carpet affair with decor of drapes and chandeliers. Alonzo Hawk, Stone Love, Donovan Dacres, Crazy Chris and Chris Goldfinger out of London will take charge of the turntables. Cranstan said the mood would continue to capture the music of the '70s '80s and '90s to serve the taste of the patrons the event is known to attract. Ken Boothe and Leroy Sibbles, two of Jamaica's top entertainers, will also be rolling back the years through their music. lucky patron A lucky patron will also get a s chance to win a weekend at Hilton hotel in New Kingston. Part proceeds from the event will go towards the Maxfield Park Children's Home and the Cancer Society.
