Rae Town still lead in Major League

Rae Town FC still lead by a slim margin in the Claro/KSAFA Major League with 35 points after games played on Saturday. They beat Rockfort 2-1 with goals from Donald Foster and Stephen Squire in the 43rd and 59th minutes, respectively.

Rockfort got their consolation on the stroke of full-time courtesy of Jeremaine Carruthers.

Central Kingston sit in second position with 34 points after defeating Port Royal 1-0 at Winchester Park. Orrett Williams was the goal scorer in the 22nd minute.

In other games, Cooreville Gardens, with a double from Andrae Bernal in the fifth and 71st minutes, were 2-0 winners over Molynes United. Swallowfield edged Olympic Gardens 1-0 through a 13th-minute strike from Shevan Wright and the encounter between Seaview Gardens and Barbican ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

The match between Meadforest and Brown's Town was not played as no police personnel were present.

Syd Bartlett League

Greenwich Town lead the pack by three points in the Claro/KSAFA Syd Bartlett League although they did not play in last week's round of matches.

UWI moved up the standing after clipping Shortwood United 2-1. Devon Smith got the goals for UWI in the 47th and 80th minutes while Fabian Cooke got Shortwood United's lone goal in the 67th minute.

Pembroke Hall captured their second win of the campaign by edging Maxfield Park 1-0 through a Hanif Shand 22nd-minute goal.

Allman/Woodford came away with a 2-0 victory over Stony Hill courtesy of goals from Kimani Thompson and Marlando Sterling in the 27th and 88th minutes, respectively.

The match between Whitfield Town and UTech was not played as no security personnel were present.

The Claro/KSAFA Major and Syd Bartlett Leagues continue on Saturday.
