Longing to find sister

Desperate to establish some kind of link with a family she has never met, Stacy-Ann Hamilton has been searching for her sister for the last 10 years.

Hamilton's father died the very year she was born, so she never got a chance to meet him or anyone from his side of the family.

Through her mother however, she learnt that she had a sister named Sharon.

She knows very little about this sister except that she is about 40 or 41 years old and her last known address was somewhere in the Two Miles area of Kingston.

She does not know whether her sister still lives in Jamaica or is overseas.

Hamilton's father, Ashley Hamilton, who, she was told, was originally from St Mary, was killed in 1973.

"I don't know my father or anything about him. I don't know anyone on my father's side. It would be good to have a sister to talk to and to have some kind of history. Hopefully, she will want to get to know me. I don't want anything, but if I have a sister I just want to know that she is ok. Family is important," Hamilton told THE STAR

She was also told that her paternal grandmother sold goods in the downtown, Kingston area.

She also told THE STAR that she had three other sisters but one recently passed away, making her quest to find her other sister, even that more important.

She said, "I'm just trying to find Sharon or anyone from his family."

Anyone with information that can help in Hamilton's search may call her at 516-395-6720 or 321-984-9493.
