'Cain' remanded

WESTERN BUREAU

A St James man, accused of killing his brother during an altercation at their home, was remanded yesterday in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court.

Conroy Dwyer of Rose Heights was remanded after he informed the court that he is yet to secure legal representation. The matter was adjourned until April 21 so he could get a lawyer.

Dwyer was charged with the stabbing death of his brother Derrick, 33.

Allegations are that on March 23 at 11p.m., the accused and his brother got into an argument after the accused reprimanded him for chopping another man in the head.

It is alleged that during the argument, a knife was used to stab Derrick in his chest. He was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he died.
