Energy levels soared at the RJR Communications Group's Invasion and Intense party at the Afrodiziac nightclub, Portmore Town Centre, last Friday.

Afrodiziac offers a state-of-the art entertainment venue, and patrons got down to dancing as selectors DJ Inferno from Fame FM, DJ Raff of Hitz FM and Blue Steel spun the latest dancehall and pop music. The Magnum girls kept the vibe alive for most of the night.

Later, MC and dancer Tippa gave the show more impetus as he called the patrons to the stage.

The dance competition, which started minutes after 2 a.m., was wild with men and women gyrating to the reggae beat. The dance winners were given gift baskets courtesy of Magnum Tonic Wine.

A host of stars were at the venue enjoying proceedings, including Rising Stars runners-up Kahlil, TVJ's Intense host, Peppita, TOK's Bay-C, Shaun Storm and the Portmore Empire crew.

After the high-tempo dances, patrons relaxed in the ambience of the VIP lounge.

A basking Dennis Reid, manager of Afrodiziac, said he loved the event. Reid said his club "caters for people with various entertainment appetite". "We offer good hospitality and ample parking for customers," Reid said, adding that the club gives "top-quality entertainment" in a clean and spacious environment.

Tonight, the club will host a Valentine's night party. This is an event mainly for couples, but singles can come out and mingle.
