Kingston College (KC) defeated Jamaica College (JC) in the Grace Shield Premier League battle of old rivals at Old Hope Road yesterday.
In the feature match of the opening round, KC, replying to JC's 122, secured victory with a score of 123 for six.
Justin Bogle took 4-36 and Akeem Dewar 3-36 took most wickets for KC before Ajani Burton who had 36, and Dewar who returned to dominated with the making 33, led then the team to an easy victory.
In other matches, defending champions Eltham, Inwoods, St Jago all score impressive victories.
Eltham, playing at home, scored 203 for six declared, then dismissed Bridgeport for a mere 34 runs.
Oshane Baugh, 59, and Romeo Dunca, 39, led the way for Eltham against Moses Edmonton's 4-72.
When Bridgeport batted, Dunca, who took 4-11 and Kevin Bonner 4-18 proved to be all but unplayable.
At Meadowbrook, the hosts, who could only managed 60, suffered badly at the hands of St Jago, who barely broke a sweat in replying with 62-2.
Over at Maxfield Park, Inswood, replying to Norman Manley's 128, scored 130 for three for a seven-wicket victory.
