A man accused of having counterfeit US notes in his possession appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Charged with possession of counterfeit notes is Errol Morris. The court was told that Morris was found with six US$100 bills, which were believed to be fake. The court was further told that an evaluation is to be done.
A relative told the court that Morris was a Bellevue patient and had a history of mental illness. He said Morris was being used by persons who take advantage of his mental state.
Being used
"Dem a use him, 'cause him willing," he said. "I go to work and leave him. A somebody a use him up tru him mind nuh good. Him use to go uppa camp and move roun' some soldier and wash dem car. Mi think a dem a influence him."
He is to return to court on February 12. He was granted $20,00 bail with surety.
