A day with RDX

When The STAR spent the day with the members of RDX, Delomar and Renigade, it was not as hectic as their other days.

Renigade explained that their day usually starts at midday but they rescheduled some of their activities to accommodate The STAR.

With their day starting at 2 p.m. on this occasion, the first stop was at the Mona-based Lifetime Studios where producer Mafia was in control. As soon as they entered the studio, it was time for work. However, they still found time to give Busy Signal, who was present, a chance to hear RDX's latest rhythm. Busy Signal seemed a little sick but still managed to vibe to the rhythm.

Hot recording

Afterwards, Renigade started to voice the verses for a song called Set Good. The lines were rather raunchy but the song became more subtle when Delomar voiced the hook. As the song was being recorded Renigade was doing all forms of antics in the hot recording booth. Delomar simply sat and laughed.

When the voicing was complete, the two seemed pleased with the outcome.

"Mi a tell yuh from now seh a di baddest song," said Renigade while tossing down his hat and laughing.

The next stop was in Fletcher's Land, Kingston, where they usually spend a lot of their free time.

Special connection

Renigade said they have a special connection with the area because their music was strongly embraced at 'Dutty Fridaze', which started there.

After driving in, they hailed the 'general' and other members of the community. The children, especially, felt their presence and shouted RDX as they passed by.

They even showed The STAR a mural of them that was painted on a wall at Fletcher's Land by a man called 'Clash'. While at the spot, they were swarmed by RDX-loving children who stopped to hug them or to get autographs.

Before leaving they said their goodbyes and stopped to have a chat with rising female artiste Pamputtae who was quite vibrant.
