Cops investigating woman's death in Copperwood

The Cambridge Police in St James have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a woman at Copperwood in the parish on Sunday.

Dead is Jessica Kerr, 22, of Copperwood. Reports are that about 3:25 p.m., Kerr and her common-law husband were at home when an explosion was heard. It was subsequently discovered that she had been shot. She was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Detectives are seeking Michael Riley, 21, of Copperwood for questioning in relation to the incident.
