SLR

The group SLR has created waves since they were placed in the top 10 of the 2008 'Digicel Rising Stars'.

The Star: Who do you think is your major competition?

Annashare Blake: Honestly, it is everyone because there are so many talent this year, you can't count out anyone.

The Star: What do you think of the talent on the show?

Latoya Coleman: I think the stars are dynamic. What Jamaicans hearing on the shows are natural voices, and they are already stars.

The Star: Who is the first person you called when you found out that you are in the top 10?

Roshauna Dennis: Well, I didn't call anyone because everyone were watching. But, they called to congratulate the team.

The Star: Who is your favourite 'Rising Star' winner of all time?

Annashare Blake: Chris (Martin), because he has left 'Rising Star' and created his own star profile.

The Star: Which 'Rising Star' past contestant would you not want to compete against?

Roshauna Dennis: Wow, Susan Perkins ... she was one of the weaker contestants, and our group only strives from strong contest. A true star only shines when it gets though.

The Star: What do you like most about the competition?

Annashare Blake: The challenges, because it helps me to move at a faster pace in everything I do.

The Star: How has the show impacted on your life?

Latoya Colman: It has a strong impact so far, I see myself being more punctual, more polite. I've learned the values of preparation and that comes with everything.

The Star: Which entertainer, local or international, you would like to work with?

Roshuana Dennis: Celine Dion; she's really strong and, she has values that I desire.

The Star: Do you think there will be a female 'Rising Star' this year?

SLR: Yes, we think that the competition has a lot of strong female competitors.
