A pilot and his passenger were found on Sunday morning, two days after they were in a plane crash. Both are currently being treated at hospital.
The men were found after several hours of searching by a joint search team comprising of the military, police and residents.
The Constabulary Communication Network's liaison officer for Portland reported that about 5:30 p.m. on Friday, a single engine Cessna aircraft with two persons aboard left the Ken Jones Aerodrome in Portland for Tinson Pen Aerodrome in Kingston.
About 10 p.m., the police in Portland were told by the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) that they suspected that the aircraft had crashed. A search team consisting of the Police, the JDF Air Wing, Caribbean Aviation and residents began to look for the men but did not locate the crash site until Saturday night.
The men were found on Sunday morning and were taken to the University Hospital of the West Indies in St Andrew where they are being treated. However up to news time the condition of the men were unknown.
