Bangladesh handed New Zealand a shock defeat in an exciting Cricket World Cup (CWC) warm-up match at the Three Ws Oval yesterday.
All-rounder Mashrafee-bin-Murtaza smashed consecutive sixes off James Franklin in the penultimate over to spur the underdogs to a thrilling victory.
Murtaza's brilliance took Bangladesh to 230 for eight off 48.5 overs in reply to New Zealand's 226 all out off 49.2 overs. He ended on 30 not out off 14 balls.
