Linstead man shot six times

Joseph Pahar-Singh, a 43-year-old insurance consultant, was shot and killed in Charlemont Housing Scheme, Linstead, St. Catherine, last Friday.

According to police reports, Pahar-Singh was returning home at about 11:40 p.m., when on reaching the door of his house he was accosted by gunmen who shot him several times. He was taken to the Linstead Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Six 9mm spent shells were recovered from the scene of the shooting.

His family members, who were in a state of shock, were taken to the hospital (Linstead) for trauma treatment and counselling.

The police in Linstead are carrying out investigations into the killing.
