I live in the U.K. There is a girl in my class who is a lesbian and she tried to ask me out. I want to say no but I don't know how.

Dear Distressed,

Why do you find it difficult to say no to a lesbian? Do you feel that you would hurt her feelings? You know what her intentions are, so tell her that you are not interested in going out with her. Do you think that it would be easier for you to write her a note and tell her that you are not interested? Go ahead and write it but make sure you send an exact copy to somebody else, so that your note would not be tampered with.
