PEOPLE'S POLL

In yesterday's poll, we explored the issue of sex and the prominent role it occupies in the Jamaican society. We wanted to know just how important sex was to people, so we asked :

If you had the choice to either go out on a date to a really special place or to have a night of really good sex instead, which would you choose?

A Really Special Place 53%

Really Good Sex 38%

Don't Know 9%

It seems the majority of the people would much rather a special night out. Whether this is an accurate reflection of the reality is another case, but these results suggest that most would give up a night of good sex to go to a special place.

Perhaps this is so because going to a special place may be a rare event, while sex can be had at any time. If this is the case, it would then explain why the respondents would prefer to go out.

The poll was conducted on July 15 and 16 by Johnson Survey Research Limited

Sample size: 1,008 residents

Age of sample: 18 and older

Sampling error: +/- 3.1 %
