Naggo Head lead after two finals

NAGGO HEAD PRIMARY are the early leaders of the INSPORTS/ Swizzzle Primary Athletic Championships after two finals as day two closed yesterday at the National Stadium. Naggo Head, the runners-up in 2005, are on 12 points. They are followed by Angels, nine, Excelsior, seven, St. Benedict's, 6.5, defending champions Spanish Town, six, Mona Heights Primary, six, Rousseau Primary, five, New Providence, four and Greater Portmore, four, rounding off the top ten. Naggo Head's Nicholas Phynn took the day's first final leaping 5.17m to take the boys' long jump open beating Excelsior Primary's Jermi Lee 5.11m and Spanish Town's Preston Bowen 4.89m. Angels' Asheed Adams soared 1.35m to take the girls' high jump Open, topping Dunrobin's Felesha Fletcher 1.25m and Chiquana Reid also 1.25m. The meet which has attracted 53 schools mainly from Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Catherine continues this morning at 9:00 a.m. and ends tomorrow afternoon.
