THE FATHER OF a five-year-old boy is dissatisfied with the treatment being meted out to his son by the mother.
According to the father, he has received numerous complaints from relatives of the child's mother that she is not giving the child proper meals and is frequently abusing him.
"I do not have a house for myself and I am still living with my parents. When I told my parents of the situation with my son they encouraged me to take him from his mother."
PARTY-LOVER
"The mother does not want to give him to me because she does not work and every week I give her $2,000 for my son. Relatives who live with her told me on many occasions she does not spend the money on the child. She is a party-lover and they say she uses the money to go to dances all over Kingston.
"When I think of the condition under which my child is living, it leaves me very depressed. My son comes to spend weekends with me and my parents once per month because his mother does not want him to come more often.
It is my desire to have my son living with me.
If you are serious about getting custody for your son then you should go to the Family Court in Kingston and make an application for custody of your son. You can also engage the services of a lawyer to assist you. There will be a hearing and it will be the function of the judge to decide which parent the child should live with in the best interest of the child.
