RASBERT TURNER, Star Writer

SPANISH TOWN

A 37-YEAR-old woman is now behind bars, charged with breaches of the Firearms Act after a police party conducted a raid on a house she occupied and a home-made shotgun found.

She is Ann Marie Livingstone, from Melrose Drive, Strathmore Gardens in St. Catherine.

According to the Spanish Town Police, at about 1 p.m. on Sunday, police personnel, acting on intelligence, went to a house occupied by Ms. Livingstone. Upon their arrival, she is said to have run with an object to the rear of the building, and was chased by police.

When retrieved, the object was a home-made shotgun containing two live 12 gauge cartridges.

She is booked to appear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court today to answer to the charges.
