Dear Pastor,
I am writing to you for the first time. I am 22 years old and I have been involved with an older man since I was 15 years old.
I had his baby in 2003, however he was not working at the time so my mother took care of my baby and me. In January of last year, he called me and he told me that his nieces would be visiting from England and that he would like our baby to spend time with them. I consented and he came for the baby on February 16. After two weeks passed, he did not return my baby and he would not answer his cellular phone when I called. I later found out that he went to England. Now, I don't know where my child is.
Sometime in April, his sister asked me to visit her. I did and she asked why her brother took away the child. I explained the situation to her. She is a police officer and she knows the law. She has my baby and whenever I go to court, she does not show up.
I really need my baby. She is my only child. Her father got permission to stay in England for six months and he ran off. I cannot get my child. I feel like I am going to go crazy. Please advise me before I do something stupid.

Dear M.L.,
I prefer not to comment on what you have written about the child's father and the police officer. I suggest however, that you retain a lawyer to assist you in this matter. As I see it, you are unable to handle this matter alone. Please let me hear from you on this matter again.
Pastor.
