THE SECOND PUMA/JAAA Development Meet will be held at Jamalco Sports Club in Clarendon tomorrow, starting at 9 a.m.
High school girls' teams from Holmwood, Vere, Edwin Allen and Manchester are expected to take part. They should be joined by Jamaica College who are expected to be top contenders at this year's Boys' Champs.
Entries have also been received from the High Performance Centre (HPC) and G.C. Foster College.
With the Youngster Goldsmith hurdles and field event meet on at KC, also tomorrow, other schools may choose to send some athletes tot he Jamalco meet.
Another good meet
Neville Myton, a member of the organising committee, said he expect another good meet.
"The track should be fast," he said. "We did some final touches on it today, so we expect some fast times."
The events to be contested are: 100m 200m, 400m and 1500m.
Tomorrow's Youngster Goldsmith meet will see the first race of the Sunshine Cereals sponsored 400m hurdles Grand Prix race.
All the top male and female 400m hurdlers are expected to compete, including defending inter-secondary girls and boys champions Sherene Pinnock of Edwin Allen and Calabar's Josef Robertson.
The 400m runners will compete in three races before the grand final at the Gibson Relays on February 26. The other two races will be run at the Milo Western Relays in Montego Bay on February 12 and the National Hurdles and Field Events Championships at G.C. Foster College on February 19.
The top finishers in the event will receive cash prizes and gift baskets from the sponsors.
